SME Now Available!
High 5 Software team
has been working diligently to bring you SME, the Enterprise version of
Service Management Professional, SMP. This version is a HUGE
backend improvement while retaining the same user interface as SMP5.
Release
Candidate: SME has completed Beta and now available for
selective release to customers. Please contact us to plan your upgrade
to SME.
SME
changes are backend related providing the following improvements:

Speed Improvement!:
This version rips! It's 10 to 20 times faster than version 5
for searches, module changes, and most other functions.

Microsoft SQL Server:
The database backend has been changed to Microsoft SQL Server.
SME works with the Express version of MS SQL so there is no
additional cost to you. However, if you want to take advantage
of higher end versions of MS SQL, you can upgrade with no change
to SME. MS SQL will scale with your business as an Enterprise
class database supporting 1000's of users.

VPN Support without Terminal Services:
The massive speed improvement allows support of VPN without
terminal services or remote desktop connection. Remote offices
can connect into SME with great performance.

Same User Interface:
End users will get all the benefits with little change in their
operation of the software. No additional training will be needed
for SME.

Some User Interface
Improvements: SME now includes a full text editor with
bullet lists, adding pictures, changing fonts and more. This is
available in all note fields and also by right clicking for
service requested or performed.

Install and Setup:
Microsoft SQL Server is great once it's going, but is more
complicated to setup. High 5 is offering "Hands off Upgrade"
for $495. We will install SQL SErver, setup and do the data
conversion for you for this low fee! Let you focus on your
business and we will handle the setup and conversion. All we

Full Conversion Tools:
Complete conversion tools from SMP5 to SME will be provided so
you will retain all your existing data.

WebConnect:
Web Connect is NOW available. WebConnect includes improved
installation in addition to the standard features for customer
and technician access.

Subcontractor Management: Improved subcontractor
management with bills syncing to QuickBooks and calculation of
subcontractor cost as a percentage of service pricing.
- Stored
Documents: Stored documents have been a HUGE success in SMP.
This capability expands to all modules in SME. Documents
are actually stored in the SME database eliminating the need to
search around the network for files.
- Material and
Labor: Ability to calculate the estimated labor hours for
all material items with a total of all labor showing for the
work order. This provides consistency and simplicity in
creating work orders. Also, view photos of your material
items for accurate selection.

Coming Soon:

User Groups - allows
configuration of all tabs and modules for users. This
provides a simplified user interface for users as well as
improved security by preventing users from seeing financial data
for example.
- Views - Ability
to configure view for any of the modules. Views can be
shared between users or made private. For example, you
could create a view of "All my sales leads in the Proposal
stage" or "All customers due for maintenance renewal". The
number and type of views are unlimited. All views can be
exported to Excel.
