== Step 1 - Export out the Customer UID ==

<br>1. Go to '''Utilities''' > '''Utilities''' > '''Export Data''' and click '''Run It'''
<br>1. In the Export Window, select '''Cust'''
<br>1. Move the following fields from the source field side to the destination field side: '''UID''' and '''Name'''
<br>1. In '''Output Directory''' field, select your desktop
<br>1. In the '''Output Filename''', enter Cust.csv

<br>1. When completed, go to your desktop and open the file.



== Step 2 - Prepare the import file ==
<br>1. Open an Excel file
<br>2. Prepare the column headers as shown in the below screenshot
<br>       - Column A - CustUID - this is the customer records UID the contact is linked to
<br>	- Column B - Name - this is the contact name
<br>	- Column C - Title - enter title if needed
<br>	- Column D - Email - enter email if needed
<br>	- Column E - H - (yellow in image below) enter the business phone number and extension 	(fPhone1 = formatted phone, Phone1 - enter the phone number, Ext1 = extension, PhoneLbl1= 	the phone label, column 	should be Business)
<br>	- Column I - L (blue in image below) are for the mobile phone numbers
<br>	- Column M - P (green in image below) are for the fax numbers

<br>3. Save the spreadsheet.


== Step 3 - Import the contacts into CustCont ==
As always when importing, import first a small sample of your whole spreadsheet including the column headers. Check your import before importing the whole spreadsheet.

<br>This import adds the contact to the Customer record > Customer Lists tab > Contacts tab.

<br>1. Go to '''Utilities''' > '''Utilities''' > '''Import Data''' and click '''Run It.''' The Data Import window opens
<br>2. In the '''Source Filename''' field, browse for your import file. (when browsing for your file, make sure you are search “All Files”)
<br>3. In the '''Destination table''' drop down, select '''CustCont'''
<br>4. You will see a preview of your spreadsheet in the grid
<br>5. Click '''start'''.
<br>6. You will be asked if you want to backup your data. You should be regularly backing up your data, so usually people click No to skip the backup. 
<br>7. When the import is complete you can close the Data Import window and look in the Customer module for the site customers you imported. You can go look up the customer record for the contact you imported, click the Customer LIsts tab > Contact tab. 


== Step 4 - Export the CustCont table to get the contact UID ==
<br>1. Go to Utilities > Utilities > Export Data and click Run It
<br>2. In the Export Window, select CustCont
<br>3. Move the following fields from the source field side to the destination field side (keep them in the following order): 
<br>CustUID
<br>Name
<br>UID
<br>Email
<br>Phone1
<br>fPhone1
<br>Ext1
<br>PhoneLbl1
<br>Phone2
<br>fPhone2
<br>Ext2
<br>PhoneLbl2
<br>Phone3
<br>fPhone3
<br>Ext3
<br>PhoneLbl3

<br>4. In '''Output Directory''' field, select your desktop
<br>5. In the '''Output Filename''', enter '''CustContTable.csv'''
<br>6. Click '''start.''' 
<br>7. When completed, go to your desktop and open the file.


== Step 5 - Prepare Cust table update file ==
<br>1. Open the exported spreadsheet from Step 4 above
<br>2. Change the '''CustUID''' column header to '''UID'''
<br>3. Change the '''Name''' column header to '''Contact'''
<br>4. Change the '''UID''' column header to '''ContactUID'''
<br>5. Save the spreadsheet, it is now ready to import into the Cust table.
